Indian filmfest to screen Iranian short film ‘Compass’

Iranian short film ‘Compass’ has been scheduled to go on the silver screen at the 13th edition of the Free Spirit Film Festival in India.

Directed by Meysam Abbasi, the short film depicts the story of an old man whose only mate is an old lady who sits besides his home every morning and watches the birds.

After a while the old man faces a problem that makes him stay at home.

The event is the first and the original annual film festival in McLeod Ganj. It was launched in 2004 as the “Tibetan Film Festival” and was renamed “Free Spirit Film Festival” in 2008.

It also has another name which is “McLeod Ganj International Film Festival”.

The 13th edition of Free Spirit Film Festival will be held on October 27-31, 2017.
